TheSnowpit.com has been a labor of love since 2007.

Basically, it's here because...I like snow.
Because of this, I also like nearly everything about snow, from avalanches to snow science, from skiing to mountaineering, from freezer burn to statistics.

The most beautiful experience we can have is the mysterious. It is the fundamental emotion that stands at the cradle of true art and true science. Whoever does not know it and can no longer wonder, no longer marvel, is as good as dead, and his eyes are dimmed. I currently reside in Calgary, Canada and I am writing this site mostly because I want to learn the intricacies of snow and winter from many perspectives. I hope it helps other people out too.
